Anyone can place an ad, but only a Public Relations professional can get PR.  PR is essentially free advertising.  Each time a PR professional gets your company's name in the paper, on TV, on the radio or online, they are creating exposure for your business.  That exposure is deemed more reliable, since it is not a "paid ad", and it costs a fraction of a single paid advertisement.
