AND THE CHICAGO IRISH BROTHERHOOD PARTY BENFITTING MISERICORDIA
Indoor and Outdoor Music Fest after the Northside Parade on March 13 with JackFM
and the Chicago Irish Brotherhood Party on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17
(CHICAGO, IL) – JackFM [WJMK-FM 104.3] and Mahoney’s Pub & Grille will be hosting the first annual “St. Jack’s Fest” at the intersection of Ogden and Racine, just outside of Mahoney’s in heated tents, as well as inside Mahoney’s, too, on Saturday, March 13 from 3pm to 11pm.
The Fest, taking place directly after the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and just slightly west of all the downtown madness, will feature a rockin’ line-up of Irish-centric Chicago bands and entertainment. Headlining the Fest at 9pm is the Irish rock band, The Chancey Brothers
[ http://www.myspace.com/thechanceybrothers ]. Around 8:30pm, just before The Chancey Brothers take the stage, Irish pipers and drummers will roam the Fest to spread Irish cheer. At 6:30pm, the rock, reggae and funk cover band, Dickey Pimpkins
[ http://www.myspace.com/dickeypimpkins ] will keep the party going as they are introduced by the Dillon-Gavin School of Irish Dance dancers [ www.dillon-gavin.com ] who’ll Irish-dance circles around the stage at 6pm. The Fest’s live music stage gets things started by Jact [ http://www.myspace.com/jactupmusic ] performing all the best party covers at 4pm.
All this entertainment is offered free-of-charge for patrons 21 and over. Mahoney’s will feature Guinness Beef Stew for only $5 plus $3.50 Bud Light drafts and Green draft beers, in addition to a variety of delicious Irish specialties such as Mahoney’s Irish Jameson Whiskey Wings, Guinness Beer Battered Fish and Chips, Corned Beef & Cabbage Plate with Roasted Potatoes and Turkey or Corned Beef Reuben Sandwiches.
On Wednesday, March 17, Mahoney’s will host the Chicago Irish Brotherhood’s St. Patrick’s Day Party to benefit Misericordia [ http://www.misericordia.com/ ] from 5pm to 11pm, which is open to the public. An optional $25 Budweiser package will be available from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Irish pipers and drummers will once again roam the room to start the festivities starting 6:30pm. At 7pm, the band Becky Likes Tigers will provide live upbeat, party music followed by the Big Shoulders Brass Band at 8:30pm to keep things loud and festive. There will be also no cover charge for this party, and the same Irish food specials will be offered. Slainte!
