First Annual Indoor and Outdoor Music Fest

Featuring Michael McDermott, Scott Lucas and the Married Men and Many More

(CHICAGO, IL) –  Chicago’s summer won’t be here much longer, but just before it ends, Mahoney’s Pub & Grille will be hosting the first annual “Mahoney’s Music Fest” at the intersection of Ogden and Racine, just outside of Mahoney’s, as well as inside Mahoney’s, too, on Saturday, September 12 from 12pm to 10pm.

The day long Fest will feature a fantastic line-up of established and up-and-coming Chicago bands and DJs.  Headlining the Fest is Chicago’s own folk-rock singer and songwriter, Michael McDermott [ www.michael-mcdermott.com ].  Currently on tour in Italy and Ireland, McDermott has a new album out and a single being played heavily on WXRT.  Also on the bill:  Scott Lucas and the Married Men [ http://www.myspace.com/scottlucasmusic ], Catfish Haven [ www.catfishhaven.com ], Green Sugar [ http://www.myspace.com/greensugarband ], Surrender Dorothy [ http://www.myspace.com/surrenderdorothyorelse ], The Canvasmen [  http://www.myspace.com/thecanvasmen ], House of Winehouse [ http://www.myspace.com/houseofwinehouse  ] and other local bands and DJs that will provide live entertainment in and out of Mahoney’s Pub & Grille.

Mahoney’s Music Fest will also feature great craft and seasonal fall beers from Goose Island featuring:  312, Harvest Ale and IPA for $5 each, Mahoney’s elevated bar food and much more.  There will be a main stage outside and a secondary stage inside, too.   The Fest's suggested donation of $5 will benefit Neighbors United [ www.chicnu.org ], a non-profit organization empowering the people of the 27th Ward.
