Mahoney's Pub & Grille asks:

Who Can Wait a Whole Year?

Answer: "Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Festival"

FINAL BAND LINE-UP ANNOUNCED:

SPONGE, LOCAL H, TRIPPIN’ BILLIES, DOT DOT DOT

and T. DUGGINS of THE TOSSERS

(CHICAGO, IL) —Mahoney's Pub & Grille in Chicago's eclectic River West neighborhood will celebrate the first official weekend of fall with music, beer, food—and, of course, all things Irish—at "Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Festival" on Saturday, September 25, 2010

This second annual fest (last year named Mahoney's Music Fest) will run from Noon-10:00 p.m. both inside and outside of Mahoney's, 551 N. Ogden (Ogden and Racine).

"Chicago is well known for its St. Patrick’s Day celebrations," said Matt Kubinski, an organizer of the event. "But who can wait a whole year?"

This Irish celebration will also feature bag pipers, corned beef and cabbage, Goose Island’s Green Line Beer, Guinness Stout beer, and Jameson Irish whiskey. (The whisky is available inside Mahoney's only.)

The complete band line-up has been announced and includes:  post-grunge rockers from Detroit Sponge http://www.myspace.com/sponge, Chicago’s own Local H http://www.localh.com/, popular Dave Matthews Band cover band Trippin’ Billies www.trippinbillies.com, party band Dot Dot Dot www.dotdotdotonline.com  and T. Duggins www.thetossers.com, a member of Chicago Celtic punk band The Tossers, performing his own music as well as The Tossers’ hits.

In addition to tunes, Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Festival will feature deejays between music sets, special-priced craft and seasonal beers from Goose Island, Mahoney's acclaimed bar food, and food booths from other local restaurants.

A suggested donation of $5 benefits the Neighbors United, a non-profit community organization serving the 27th Ward. The stage lineup is:

1pm                  T. Duggins of The Tossers

2:30 pm             Trippin’ Billies

4:30 pm             Dot Dot Dot

6:30 pm             Local H

8:30 pm             Sponge
