10th Annual “Elvis Fest” Rocks Chicago at The Original Mother’s

(CHICAGO, IL) – This Friday, January 8th would be Elvis’ 75th birthday, and his popularity has yet to ebb. The Original Mother’s, located at 26 West Division Street in Chicago, is proud to provide a venue for his many rabid fans and those who just like a hunk- a hunk of a good time, at “Elvis Fest”!
Friday, January 8, 2010 at 6pm fans can meet Radio Hall of Famer Dick Biondi from True Oldies 94.7 as he broadcasts live from 7pm to 12pm. A seemingly endless supply of super talented Elvis Tribute Artists (E.T.A.s) will take the stage to rock the songs that made the King…well…the King!
Event emcee, Sergio Interial sums up the event in saying, “Girls here act the same as they did back when Elvis was alive. They cry and jump after scarves the performers wipe their brow with.”
Attendees are asked to participate in the Elvis-look-alike contest for a chance to win a trip for two to the home of the King, Graceland (Tennessee)! The festivities continue with Elvis karaoke and a chance to win more prizes. There will also be a live portrait paintings of Elvis on 4 foot by 5 foot canvases to the beat of Elvis songs by “E” of ArtBeat Live! [ www.artbeatlive.com ]
The Change of Habit Tribute Band (COH) is a musical ensemble built much like a Las Vegas-style show band, and they will have the pleasure of backing “The King(s)” as they perform, live, throughout the night.
A free peanut butter and banana buffet is included, but not to be missed is the Happy Birthday to Elvis cake complete with Dick Biondi lighting the candles and leading everyone in the “Happy Birthday” song. $6 Absolut “All Shook Up” cocktails will be the featured drink of the evening.
Don’t miss the event of the year this January. Elvis Fest! Doors open at 6pm. There is no entrance fee, however a $5 suggested donation will benefit the New Orleans Musician Clinic, the favored charity of The Original Mother’s.
