$1000 Cash Prize for First Place in Costume Contest at The Original Mother’s
(CHICAGO, IL) – On Friday, October 31, the annual revelry known as Dead on Division will take place at six Chicago institutions: The Original Mother’s, Mother’s Too, Bootleggers, The Lodge, She-Nannigans and The Hangge-Uppe. Wandering freaks, zombies, psychics and jugglers will roam Division Street and these locations on All Hallows Eve to instill the fear of the dead, undead and unknown to all!
At The Original Mother’s, [WKQX-FM] Q101’s Tingle and Lou are broadcasting LIVE from 7pm – Midnight. At 8pm there will also be live music from Judas Beast, the Judas Priest/Iron Maiden tribute band, rocking it out into the witching hour. There is a $5 cover charge at The Original Mother’s.
At Mother’s Too, partygoers can peer into the future as they have their palms read. Bootleggers will offer a scavenger hunt to search for “Boot’s Booty” and also hold a pirate costume contest. Thirsty for more? Head over to She-nannigans for a drink at their VooDoo bar, ride the Time Machine at The Lodge Tavern or take a trip down the rabbit hole and compete in the Alice in Wonderland costume contest at The Hangge-Uppe.
Most locations will feature a costume contest around the stroke of midnight, with the top prize of the Mother’s costume contest $1000 cash, $500 for second and $250 for third place with lots more in prizes. Liquid libations will flow as $3.50 Bud Light Golden Wheat bottles and $5 Mali-BOO Witches Brew Rum cocktails will liven up the evening.
