(CHICAGO, IL) – Whether it’s a party band after a Cubs game or a nationally touring act, The Cubby Bear Chicago has something for everyone’s musical taste. Significant upgrades to the staging, sound, lights and production technology in the main room have truly transformed The Cubby Bear into a state-of-the-art live music venue.

General Manager, Joshua Schatan, along with Duff Entertainment, have been booking The Cubby Bear for over three years, but they have recently fortified the live music programming and stepped it up to every night of the week. “Our lineup of talent appeals to both serious music fans as well as folks who are just joining us to have some fun,” explains Schatan. “One night we may have a live Salsa band with authentic dancing, and the next night we’ll have a national act like Cage the Elephant, North Mississippi Allstars or George Clinton and P-Funk.”

The Cubby Bear’s weekly rotation includes Salsa Sundays with a live salsa and mambo band plus dancing lessons with Latin Street Dancing; Live Band Karaoke every Wednesday where participants are backed up by a live rock band and Local Music Showcase every Tuesday (think quasi open mic night!). Sundays: SALSA SUNDAY - DJ Frankie J spins Salsa, Mambo and Tropical Rhythms all night! Free Parking next to the Cubby Bear on Addison Street… Just tell the attendant you are going to the Salsa Night! $5 cover, 6pm – 2am

Mondays: LUNES de LATIN ROCK – Live Latin rock bands, $5 Cover

Tuesdays: LOCAL MUSIC SHOWCASE - Like an open mic, but you get to play with your entire band! Contact cubbyinfo@gmail.com to get involved. No cover, 8pm

Wednesdays: ROCK BAND KARAOKE - Sing karaoke with a full band! No cover, 10 pm
