FEBRUARY MUSIC SCHEDULE

 

(CHICAGO, IL) – The Cubby Bear in Wrigleyville is continuing their mission to provide rockin’ live music seven days a week to heat up this bitter, cold February in Chicago.  With upcoming shows such as the continuation of the Q101 “Q-Up” series featuring JANUS, two XRT “Legacy” series shows with NORTH MISSISSIPPI ALLSTARS and BUCKWHEAT ZYDECO and the highly anticipated GEORGE CLINTON & PARLIAMENT FUNKADELIC, music fans in Chicagoland don’t have to hibernate! 

 

It doesn’t stop there, as The Cubby Bear offers regular weekly music events including Salsa Sundays with a salsa and mambo DJ plus dancing lessons with Latin Street Dancing; Live Band Karaoke every Wednesday where participants are backed up by a live rock band and Local Music Showcase every Tuesday (think quasi open mic night), along with tons of local, indie bands, often doing free shows, on Mondays and Thursdays.  The Cubby Bear’s unforgettable winter lineup for the remainder of January and all of February is listed below.

 

Weekly Entertainment in JANUARY and FEBRUARY 2010:

Sundays: SALSA SUNDAY - DJ Frankie J spins Salsa, Mambo and Tropical Rhythms all night! Free Parking next to the Cubby Bear on Addison Street… Just tell the attendant you are going to the Salsa Night! $5 cover, 6pm – 2am

Tuesdays: LOCAL MUSIC SHOWCASE - Like an open mic, but you get to play with your entire band! Contact cubbyinfo@gmail.com  to get involved. No cover, 8pm

Wednesdays: ROCK BAND KARAOKE - Sing karaoke with a full band! No cover, 10 pm
